Dmitriev Predicts Peace: Ukraine War to End in a Year

During a recent visit to Saudi Arabia, Kirill Dmitriev, the special envoy for Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressed optimism that the war in Ukraine might conclude within a year. Dmitriev's comments followed discussions with U.S. officials, emphasizing ongoing diplomatic negotiations between Moscow and Washington.

In his address at a Saudi investment conference, Dmitriev, who serves as CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, highlighted Russia's commitment to peace. He firmly stated confidence in achieving a resolution within the coming year, reaffirming Russia's desire to maintain international stability amidst regional tensions.

Dmitriev also voiced concerns about the impact of U.S. sanctions on Russian oil firms, cautioning they could spike global oil prices and affect the U.S. economy. This warning comes as tensions rise between President Trump and Russia. Dmitriev continues to advocate for collaboration among major resource holders, including the U.S., Russia, and Saudi Arabia.
