Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took stock of preparations for the upcoming Magh Mela in Prayagraj, offering prayers at the Sangam and visiting the Rambagh Hanuman Temple on Saturday.
Authorities are working tirelessly to prepare the temporary township on the banks of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati for the major spiritual event set to follow the Maha Kumbh. The Magh Mela is expected to attract a large number of devotees.
According to Dayanand Prashad, ADM of Apar Meladhikari, various departments, including the PwD, Jal Nigam, and Electricity Department, have been mobilized. Despite challenges like stagnant water affecting planning, the first holy bath on January 3 necessitates urgent completion of all preparations.
