Tragedy at Khambhat Estuary: Oil Survey Boat Capsizes
A boat carrying oil survey workers capsized in an estuary near Gulf of Khambhat, Gujarat, resulting in one fatality and one person missing. The boat overturned due to sudden tidal waves, and survivors were rescued by locals. A search is ongoing for the missing worker.

In a tragic incident near the Gulf of Khambhat, an oil survey boat carrying workers capsized due to a sudden rise in tidal waves, said a police official from Jambusar.
The mishap occurred at around 4 PM on Saturday, as the boat, filmed by locals, lost control. Owner Rohit Makwana was identified as deceased, while a search continues for missing worker Naresh Rathod.
Five injured survivors were rescued by locals. The workers were returning from an oil exploration survey for a private company. Efforts to obtain the company's statement were unsuccessful as the police registered a case of accidental death.
