Former Manager Executed for Bribery in China

On Tuesday, Bai Tianhui, the former general manager of China Huarong International Holdings, was executed for accepting bribes amounting to 1.1 billion yuan. Bai was sentenced to death in May 2024 by a Tianjin court. This case marks a significant crackdown on corruption in China.

Bai Tianhui, once the general manager of China Huarong International Holdings, has faced execution after being convicted of accepting bribes totaling 1.1 billion yuan, according to CCTV.

This took place following a court's decision in Tianjin, where Bai was handed the death penalty earlier in May 2024.
