The tragic fire at a restaurant-cum-club in Arpora, Goa, which took 25 lives, has prompted a magisterial inquiry. Authorities have been actively investigating regulatory lapses, as the establishment operated with expired licenses. Despite this, the state government assures full support for the victims' families.

The devastated nightclub became a scene of chaos in the early hours of Sunday, leading the Goa government to form a committee for a comprehensive probe. On Monday, officials visited the site and requested all pertinent documents. Notably, approvals from the Sarpanch and other permissions had been granted, even after the trade license expired in March 2024.

In parallel actions, two other establishments, including one named Romeo Lane, have been sealed while documents undergo scrutiny. A safety audit of similar clubs is in progress. Following FIR filings, Goa police sought the accused in Delhi, with notices issued and a Lookout Circular against them. As legal efforts continue, Bharat Kohli has been detained for questioning.
