Rajasthan: The Super Highway of India's Energy Sector

Union Power Minister Manohar Lal announced Rajasthan's pivotal role in India's energy sector, highlighting the state as a central hub for renewable energy development. The state government, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, aims to transform Rajasthan from an energy-receiving to an energy-supplying region, emphasizing solar and renewable energy initiatives.

The Union Power Minister, Manohar Lal, has declared Rajasthan as a pivotal contributor to India's energy landscape, dubbing it the 'super highway' of the sector. Speaking at the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, he highlighted the approval of the Green Energy Corridor-III by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reinforced the state's commitment to renewable energy, asserting Rajasthan's dominance in solar energy capacity nationwide. With substantial investments in infrastructure and land allocation, the state is poised to lead the renewable energy charge both domestically and globally.

Efforts to preserve the habitat of the Great Indian Bustard are also underway, as the state seeks legal solutions to facilitate the expansion of transmission lines in western Rajasthan. The government's strategic initiatives underscore a transformative shift toward self-reliance in renewable energy.
