Rajasthan: The Super Highway of India's Energy Sector

Union Power Minister Manohar Lal announced Rajasthan's pivotal role in India's energy sector, highlighting the state as a central hub for renewable energy development. Speaking at the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, he highlighted the approval of the Green Energy Corridor-III by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

With substantial investments in infrastructure and land allocation, the state is poised to lead the renewable energy charge both domestically and globally.

Efforts to preserve the habitat of the Great Indian Bustard are also underway, as the state seeks legal solutions to facilitate the expansion of transmission lines in western Rajasthan. The government's strategic initiatives underscore a transformative shift toward self-reliance in renewable energy.
