Kazakhstan has announced adjustments to its 2026 oil production plans in response to severe damage caused by a Ukrainian drone attack on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal in the Black Sea.

Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov reassured that the country's 2025 oil output target remains achievable despite the incident.

Troublingly, repairs on the CPC terminal's single point mooring (SPM-3) are expected to complete by December 15, although the country now predicts a drop in annual shipments to about 68 million metric tons from an anticipated 72 million tons.
