Andhra Pradesh, a pioneer in energy conservation, has won the National Energy Conservation Award - 2025 for the fourth consecutive year, underscoring its commitment to energy efficiency across various sectors.
According to Chief Secretary K Vijayanand, the state's achievements in buildings, industry, municipal, agriculture, DISCOMs, and transport sectors have been crucial in clinching the top prize in the Group II category at the awards.
President Droupadi Murmu is set to present the award to the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission on December 14, in a ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, as a testament to the state's collaborative efforts in advancing energy conservation initiatives.
