In a bold move against the rising menace of synthetic drugs, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu led an Anti-Chitta Awareness Walkathon in Hamirpur on Tuesday, mobilising a significant public response. Starting at the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), the event concluded at the Police Lines Dosadka Ground, involving students, public figures, and local leaders in a unified stand against this social evil.
The Chief Minister, before the march, administered a pledge aimed at eradicating chitta and similar narcotics from the state. Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, Sukhu asserted that the state is fiercely confronting this scourge with uncompromising resolve. He detailed the government's systematic operations targeting drug networks, using enhanced technology and legal measures to uproot these illegal activities.
Reinforcing the administration's commitment, the Chief Minister highlighted the public-driven nature of this fight against drugs, outlining significant raids and arrests conducted to dismantle trafficking networks.
