According to authorities, the unfortunate event occurred in Imlaudi village, as Sonam and her husband Dhanpal had been residing in a joint family. The conflict arose on Thursday morning when Dhanpal's mother requested some ghee from Sonam, who was initially resistant. Eventually, she relented but tensions flared further when more was taken.

In a fit of anger, Sonam allegedly ingested poison kept at home. Efforts to save her proved fruitless, as she was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. An ongoing police investigation seeks to unravel the details of this heartbreaking case.
