BHEL's Profits Surge as Revenue from Key Sectors Boost Growth

In comparison, last fiscal's net profit was Rs 134.70 crore. Total income for the quarter rose 18%, supported by strong performance in the power sector.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), India's largest engineering and manufacturing company under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, announced a significant increase in profits.
For the December quarter, BHEL's net profit surged threefold to Rs 390.40 crore, compared to Rs 134.70 crore in the same period last year, according to a recent exchange filing.
The company's total income saw an 18% rise, reaching Rs 8,691.85 crore. This growth was largely propelled by the power sector, where revenues climbed to Rs 6,322.36 crore from Rs 5,588.45 crore in the previous year.
