Kotdwar ASP Chandra Mohan Singh stated that the situation remained normal despite the ongoing tension and asserted that police were actively patrolling the area. FIRs were filed based on video evidence, while authorities urged citizens to refrain from sensationalizing the issue on social media.
Further insights revealed communal tones to the protests, as Deepak Kumar, a gym trainer, noted the initial confrontation stemmed from religious implications associated with the shop's name.
