In a tragic incident early Tuesday, a high-speed bike carrying three men collided head-on with a scooty on the Kovvur railroad bridge in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, resulting in four fatalities. Kovvuru Inspector Viswam reported that the collision occurred while the bike was heading towards Rajahmundry. The impact was so severe that all three people on the bike and the scooty rider died instantly. A fourth individual sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Law enforcement has filed a case and commenced a comprehensive investigation into the tragic accident. Additional information is awaited as the probe progresses.

In a separate incident last week, a potential disaster was narrowly avoided on the Rajahmundry National Highway near Diwan Cheruvu Junction. Inspector Umar detailed how three buses, carrying 109 students from Telangana returning from Araku, were involved in a collision caused by cows straying onto the road. The abrupt appearance of the cattle forced the leading bus to brake suddenly, causing a chain reaction that led to the collision. Fortunately, none sustained serious injuries, though around 20 students received minor injuries and were treated on-site. The bus drivers suffered injuries and were transported to Rajahmundry Government Hospital for further care.

Police promptly arrived and managed the busy highway traffic, ensuring safety and facilitating the ongoing investigation.
