The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has rolled out multiple initiatives aimed at empowering India's youth and promoting cultural unity. These programmes support national integration and personal growth through structured youth engagement across states, particularly focusing on Jammu and Kashmir.
Under the banner of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), in partnership with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme 2026 unfolded at SCERT Auditorium, Bemina, Srinagar, welcoming 37 delegates from Punjab. The initiative is designed to foster youth engagement, national cohesion, and cultural understanding.
Participants engaged in activities that develop leadership skills and mutual understanding while experiencing Jammu and Kashmir's cultural richness. Volunteer Sahishdeep Kaur of Punjab praised the hospitality in Srinagar and emphasized the value of cultural exchange, while fellow delegate Suraj Gupta spoke of shattered stereotypes and the enriching firsthand experience of Kashmiri culture.
