Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu recently led a pivotal meeting with the Education Department, emphasizing the need for maintaining lien for teachers selected for CBSE-affiliated schools. This measure ensures their promotional paths remain intact.

In the high-level discussion, CM Sukhu directed the expedited affiliation of 140 government schools with the CBSE for the next academic session. Of these, 99 schools have already secured affiliation, with efforts underway for the remainder. The meeting also saw directives to ease service conditions for principal appointments, adjusting the required remaining service from three years to two.

The Chief Minister highlighted the planned introduction of a unique logo and uniform color scheme for CBSE schools, underpinning the state's dedication to enhancing education quality. He also committed to personally overseeing the improvement of academic standards, ensuring adequate funding for infrastructure, and enforcing a 'No Mobile Phone Policy' from March 1 this year.

Present at the meeting were Secretary of Education Rakesh Kanwar, Director of School Education Ashish Kohli, and other senior officials, marking a comprehensive commitment to educational reform.
