In an exceptional feat, twin brothers Mahroof and Masroor Ahmed Khan from Bhubaneswar have achieved identical scores in the JEE-Main 2026 Session 1 exam. The industrious siblings undertook their preparation in Kota, a notable hub for engineering aspirants, under the National Testing Agency's aegis.
Speaking to ANI, Mahroof expressed his gratitude towards his teachers, emphasizing the smooth preparation journey. He acknowledged that the unwavering guidance of his mentors was instrumental, alongside his five years of diligent study. Meanwhile, Masroor shared insights into his preparation, acknowledging challenges like occasional low marks but crediting his resolve and educational support for his success.
The NTA revealed that 12 candidates managed to secure a perfect 100 NTA score (percentile) in the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Paper 1, with a substantial 96.26% overall attendance. This exam was conducted across 658 centers in 326 cities, including 15 international locations, and in 13 different languages. Top scorers hailed from various regions, underlining the rigorous nature of this assessment.
