Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Drives Rapid Development with Historic Budget Allocation

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has mandated the swift completion of development projects across the capital, emphasizing punctuality and budget utilization. With the approval of projects worth over Rs 3,786 crore, Gupta asserts her government's dedication to enhancing Delhi's infrastructure through various development schemes and boards by March.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta delivered emphatic mandates to departmental officials at a high-level meeting on Friday, focusing on the urgent advancement of development projects in the city. Gupta assured the officials that the allocated budget for these works is ample and any delays would not be tolerated, as confirmed by her office.

In a detailed review concerning projects under the Chief Minister Development Fund (CMDF), Delhi Village Development Board (DVDB), and Trans-Yamuna Area Development Board (TYADB), Gupta stressed that the development advancements must be tangible. The meeting, also attended by DVDB's Rajkumar Chauhan and TYADB's Arvinder Singh Lovely, revealed that Rs 3,786 crore in projects has been sanctioned so far.

Gupta urged the officials to initiate the tender processes right at the onset of the fiscal year to ensure timely project completion. She highlighted approval for over 3,812 projects under CMDF alone, valued at Rs 1,798.85 crore, aiming to bolster local infrastructure with work to be executed by agencies like the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the Delhi Jal Board.
