Himachal Pradesh CM Pledges Healthcare Reforms at Nahan Medical College

In a bid to revolutionize healthcare delivery in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu conducted a comprehensive review at Nahan Medical College in Sirmaur district, engaging directly with doctors.
Addressing the need for in-state medical advances, the Chief Minister announced plans to fortify existing institutions into full-service medical facilities, moving beyond their current status as referral centers. The government has earmarked Rs. 3,000 crore for cutting-edge medical technology investments.
The Chief Minister also highlighted enhanced support for the medical fraternity, noting a significant stipend increase for senior resident doctors, alongside plans to expand postgraduate training facilities, thus bolstering medical education in the state.
