In a scathing attack on the Telangana Congress administration, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao, also known as KTR, accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of diverting funds destined for the Rythu Bandhu scheme, which supports farmers, to a new initiative coined as 'Rahul Bandhu.' Speaking at a felicitation event for newly elected councillors in Sircilla, KTR alleged that this diversion was primarily to appease the Congress leadership.

Addressing concerns over the delayed financial aid, KTR criticized the state government for failing its commitment to augment the Rythu Bandhu scheme, thereby defaulting on payments. He further claimed that around ₹1,000 crore is redirected annually for political expediency, challenging the Congress government to prioritize Telangana farmers over high command politics.

Calling for accountability, KTR announced plans for the BRS to introduce a Private Member Bill in the Assembly demanding legal backing for Congress's 'Six Guarantees' to force the government to fulfill its electoral promises. He emphasized that this legislative measure would pressure Congress MLAs to support the bill, ensuring they adhere to guarantees previously pledged to the people of Telangana.
