Tensions between Turkey and Iran have escalated following reports of Iranian ballistic missiles violating Turkish airspace. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan addressed the issue in a call with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi, as confirmed by a source within the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Araqchi told Fidan that Tehran is conducting a thorough investigation into the missile incident. Fidan, on behalf of Turkey, stressed the importance of all involved parties avoiding actions that could jeopardize civilian safety.
The Turkish Foreign Minister also conveyed that Ankara is prepared to take necessary measures should the missile threat persist, highlighting Turkey's demand for a preventive approach to maintaining regional security.
