In a proactive measure to combat unexpected weather conditions, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to offer regular weather updates to farmers. This move comes after unseasonal rains adversely impacted over 1,200 hectares, causing significant agricultural setbacks.
During a review meeting on Thursday, Naidu highlighted the urgency of reducing crop losses through timely information dissemination. The affected regions stretch across Krishna, Nellore, Sri Satyasai, NTR, Anantapur, and Parvatipuram Manyam, where crops such as paddy, corn, and black gram have suffered.
With the meteorological department forecasting severe thunderstorms for more regions, including Prakasam district, Naidu stressed the need for comprehensive details on damages.
