The Maharashtra State Onion Growers' Association has called on the government to urgently implement the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) in response to a dramatic fall in onion prices.
With prices dropping over 50%, farmers are facing a financial crisis, fulfilling the criteria for MIS, emphasized association president Bharat Dighole.
