Graveyard LPG Bust: India's Fight Against Black Market Amid Iran War

In an ongoing effort to combat cooking-gas shortages worsened by the Iran conflict, Indian authorities this week confiscated 414 LPG canisters stashed in a graveyard in Hyderabad.

Ten individuals were arrested for attempting to exploit the shortage by selling the canisters on the black market at inflated prices.

Authorities have escalated their crackdown on LPG hoarding, conducting around 2,600 raids and seizing numerous cylinders in recent days. Despite the strain, officials confirm domestic supply stability and advocate alternative fuels to ease pressure.
