Uttarakhand CM Unveils Vision for Modern Dehradun: Heritage Meets Development

Emphasizing law enforcement training, he unveiled a series of infrastructural projects aimed at modernizing Dehradun while maintaining its unique heritage. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed trainee police constables at Dehradun's Police Lines, urging them to strengthen law and order, actively participate in disaster management, and improve traffic flows.
Earlier, he inaugurated the renovation of Jugmandar Hall at Dehradun Municipal Corporation, a Rs 2.32 crore project aimed at preserving cultural heritage. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a canal in Kedarpuram and announced park developments at multiple municipal locations.
Dhami outlined a vision of "development along with heritage," highlighting over Rs 1,400 crore in projects to modernize Dehradun. Under PM Modi's leadership, initiatives like Smart City and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are enhancing infrastructure, green spaces, and housing. The city now boasts a mechanized waste station, Integrated Command Centre, and improved connectivity with plans for the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway.
