Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak criticized the Samajwadi Party on Thursday, describing its leaders as power-driven individuals who have consistently neglected the poor, Dalits, and Backward Class communities. Speaking candidly to reporters, Pathak highlighted the party's 'double character' and referenced personal testimonies from the state's legislative assembly.
Echoing these sentiments, Uttar Pradesh Minister Rajni Tiwari accused the Samajwadi Party of hypocrisy regarding women's rights. Tiwari pointed out the party's opposition to the Nari Shakti Vandan Act Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, despite advocating for it within the state assembly, labeling them as anti-women alongside Congress and the INDI alliance.
Minister Danish Azad Ansari further lambasted the Samajwadi Party for opposing the Women's Reservation Bill during a special session in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Ansari described their stance as 'unfortunate' and indicative of a disregard for women's empowerment. The session saw the passage of a censure motion against the opposition for their stance on the bill.
