Indore Police Uncover Major Drug Network During Vehicle Check

Indore Police arrested two individuals and seized 129 grams of brown sugar worth Rs 1.29 crore during a routine vehicle check, revealing a significant drug network. Meanwhile, in a separate case, the Madhya Pradesh STF arrested three in connection with a gang-related extortion attempt, unveiling a disturbing video threat.

In a significant breakthrough, the Indore Police on Saturday apprehended two suspects and seized 129 grams of brown sugar worth an estimated Rs 1.29 crore during a routine vehicle check. This operation has exposed a larger drug network, implicating several more individuals involved in the illicit trade. Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 3 Rajesh Vyas stated that the police's swift action led to the arrest of Shubham Soni and the identification of his associate, Abhishek Tomar. Both individuals have provided crucial information, leading to the identification of additional suspects under police scrutiny.

In a separate development, the Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has detained three individuals linked to an alleged extortion incident. The complainant reported that a man claiming to be part of the 'Lawrence Bishnoi' gang demanded ransom, supported by a video of a reconnaissance operation on his residence.

Further STF investigations revealed that the threatening video was made by Nirmal Tiwari from Banda in Uttar Pradesh, under instructions from Anand Mishra, also from Banda. Both have been arrested, providing vital connections to the gang-related extortion, according to STF DIG Rahul Lodha.
