Defence Forces to Revolutionize Command Structure with Joint Operations Control Centre and Theatre Commands

The Indian Defence Forces are set to operationalize the tri-services Joint Operations Control Centre (JOCC) in Delhi Cantonment within the month, following tactical insights gained from Operation Sindoor against Pakistan-based terrorists.

The JOCC will centralize command for the army, navy, and air force, enhancing coordination among top commanders. Discussed within various Chiefs of Staff Committee meetings and led by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), it's a strategic shift for seamless military operations.

Further recommendations from the CDS on establishing Theatre Commands have been presented to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
