Oil Prices Tumble Amid US-Iran Talks
Crude oil prices fell sharply by over 11% as US-Iran negotiations suggest a potential resolution. Futures trade on the MCX showed notable declines in May and June contracts. Globally, Brent and WTI prices also dropped amid easing geopolitical tensions and talks about a tentative ceasefire around the Strait of Hormuz.
Crude oil prices have sharply declined by over 11% in futures trade, dramatically influenced by reports of potential US-Iran diplomatic progress.
May delivery crude on the Multi Commodity Exchange experienced a significant drop of Rs 1,110 to Rs 8,588 per barrel, with the June contract following suit, indicating a near 12% decline.
Globally, oil prices have also plummeted, as easing geopolitical tensions and talks of a temporary Hormuz escort pause by the US further dampened oil's value.
