Association president Gajanan Deshmukh said dedicated police stations must be set up for the industrial sites in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. These police stations should have separate manpower and vehicles, he said, as per the release. He expressed concern over rising crimes such as robbery, nuisance caused by drunkards, theft and blackmail, it said. ''Some businessmen in Shendra and Bidkin are forcing others to purchase construction material from them, which is wrong,'' the release quoted Deshmukh as saying. Police officials also made suggestions to the industrial association during the meeting. One of them said that companies should verify the documents of the workers they employ. Factories must install at least one CCTV camera to cover peripheral areas, as it will improve surveillance, suggested another official, said the release.
