NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak: CBI Steps In to Investigate

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been called upon to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, according to National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh. He emphasized that all individuals involved, whether insiders or outsiders, would face consequences.
In a conversation with ANI, Singh confirmed that the examination's cancellation was in students' best interest, as the integrity of the test was compromised. He stressed the importance of accountability, pledging that the guilty parties would be identified and punished.
Furthermore, Singh revealed the NTA's commitment to quickly announcing a new exam date to minimize disruption to academic calendars, ensuring integrity and fairness in the re-examination process. Meanwhile, CBI teams are actively investigating in Maharashtra, following leads about a suspect apprehended by Nashik Police.
