The Communist Party of India (CPI) leader, P Sandosh Kumar, has called for a Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the alleged irregularities and paper leaks in this year's NEET-UG exam. He also demanded the scrapping of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and a move towards decentralising the exam process.

In a staunch criticism of the current system, the CPI MP emphasized the need for a fair and transparent examination structure that respects social justice and state rights. "Those responsible for jeopardising the future of countless students should face severe consequences," he stated, condemning the Modi government for recurring exam failures.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR under various charges related to the NEET-UG 2026 exam irregularities. This development follows the Centre's decision to cancel the May 3 exam and reschedule it, after receiving concerning reports from central agencies regarding the examination's integrity. (ANI)
