Ukraine Intensifies Drone Strikes on Russian Oil Facilities

Ukraine has resumed drone attacks targeting Russia's oil refineries and ports, shortly after the end of a proposed ceasefire. The attacks aim to disrupt Russia’s energy revenues and military power. Meanwhile, Russian authorities reported intercepting numerous drones, with resulting fires in various regions causing infrastructure damage but no casualties.

Ukraine has renewed its drone offensive against Russian oil infrastructure, targeting refineries and ports just after a ceasefire proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump concluded. These strikes are part of Ukraine's strategy to hinder Russia's energy revenue stream and weaken its military operations amid the ongoing conflict.

Russia's defense ministry announced the interception and destruction of 286 Ukrainian drones across its regions overnight. In Krasnodar, drone debris ignited a fire near an industrial site in the village of Volna, home to Taman port's oil and other terminals, according to local authorities.

Further debris from separate attacks sparked a fire at a gas processing facility in Astrakhan, which also produces fuel, as reported by the region's officials. Local governor Igor Babushkin confirmed that enemy aircraft were either downed or neutralized by electronic measures, while ensuring there were no injuries and the situation was under control.
