Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reaffirmed Russia's commitment to fulfilling energy supply agreements with India despite external pressures. Highlighting the enduring friendship between the nations, Lavrov emphasized the importance of energy cooperation, including ongoing projects like the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, and praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has reaffirmed that agreements on energy supplies to India will be honored despite unfair external competition. He highlighted that the relationship between the two countries is rooted in friendship, ensuring no scenario in which their paths diverge.

In an interview with Russia Today-India, Lavrov praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of the most dynamic global leaders, emphasizing that India's interests concerning Russian supplies will remain intact. He underscored Russia's history of reliability in fulfilling its energy commitments, particularly pointing out the significance of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant project.

During his visit to India, Lavrov will engage in discussions with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and participate in the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting. These conversations will cover international and regional issues, focusing on cooperation within organizations like the UN, BRICS, and the G20.
