On Friday, a prominent delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) held discussions with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma about an ambitious project proposal. The initiative is targeted at fortifying rural livelihoods in the region.
Leading the delegation was Donal F Brown, Associate Vice-President of the Department of Country Operations at IFAD. The meeting took place at Koinadhara and was highlighted by the Chief Minister's Office in a post on X.
The discussions focused on an IFAD-funded project designed to boost agricultural productivity and improve rural living conditions across Assam. As an agency of the United Nations, IFAD is dedicated to combating poverty and hunger in developing nations through agricultural transformation.
