High-Stakes Pursuit: Union Minister's Son Wanted in POCSO Case

The Cyberabad Police have intensified efforts to track down Bandi Sai Bhagirath, son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, by forming five special teams. The chase involves an extensive use of technology, including Call Detail Records and Internet Protocol tracing, following allegations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to the FIR at Petbasheerabad Police Station, charges against Bhagirath include outraging modesty, sexual harassment, and violations of the POCSO Act. The complaint, lodged by the victim's mother, alleges that Bhagirath entered a relationship with the complainant's daughter under false promises, later engaging in inappropriate conduct and coercion.
Union Minister Kumar has moved to protect his image, filing a petition in the Hyderabad City Civil Court to halt the spread of defamatory content linking him to his son's case. As legal proceedings unfold, Bhagirath has also sought anticipatory bail from the Telangana High Court to preempt arrest.
