In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) Chief K Kavitha has called for the immediate removal of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to ensure an impartial investigation into serious allegations involving his son Bandi Bhagirath. The charges are rooted in a FIR filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Kavitha has raised concerns over potential conflicts of interest, given Sanjay Kumar’s significant role in the Ministry of Home Affairs. She argued that his current position could unduly influence the investigative and judicial processes, potentially skewing public perception and undermining faith in the justice system.
Meanwhile, the Cyberabad Police have intensified their investigation, deploying special teams and tracing Bandi Bhagirath through technological means. Concurrently, the Union Minister has sought legal recourse to prevent the dissemination of allegedly defamatory content linking him to his son's case.
