UK's Reeves announces summer sales tax cut for fun days out

British ​finance ‌minister Rachel Reeves ​said she would temporarily ‌slash the sales tax charged on tickets for attractions ‌like theme parks, zoos ‌and theatres, as part of her efforts to help ⁠the ​economy ⁠during the Iran war.

The cut to ⁠value added tax to ​5% from 20% for ⁠certain attractions would apply from ⁠the ​end of June to the beginning ⁠of September, she told parliament ⁠on ⁠Thursday.
