In a significant move against organized crime, Jammu and Kashmir Police seized two vehicles valued at Rs 36 lakh in Ramban district, suspected of being used in bovine smuggling operations. The step is part of a broader campaign to dismantle crime syndicates in the area.

Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta stated that the action was conducted under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after securing the necessary court orders. This legal measure aligns with ongoing efforts by the Ramban Police to target organized crime.

The vehicles, linked to Basharat Hussain from Udhampur and Tosif Ahmed Mir from Ramban, were seized under Section 107 of the BNS. The crackdown will continue, with financial investigations and property attachment being key strategies in combating crime syndicates.
