Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has taken responsibility for the identified discrepancies in the CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) evaluation process. On Thursday, Pradhan chaired a meeting with CBSE officials to address technical and payment-related concerns prevailing during students' re-evaluation and verification processes.

In a post-meeting address, Pradhan emphasized the board's commitment to resolving student concerns related to Class 12 evaluation and re-evaluation. Highlighting the scale of the operation, he noted that 17 lakh students appeared for the exam with roughly 40 crore pages of answer sheets scanned, marking CBSE’s inaugural use of the 'student-centric' OSM evaluation method.

To aid in addressing the technical challenges, experts from IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras have joined forces with CBSE's technical team. Additionally, cooperation with four major public sector banks aims to streamline payment gateways for a seamless student experience. Pradhan urged against politicizing the issue and focused on alleviating student stress, dismissing allegations of tampering as political distractions.
