The Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force have intensified their joint operation, Operation Sheruwali, in the forest regions of Gambhir Mughlan and Dorimal in the Manjakote sector of Rajouri district. Friday marked the seventh day of the mission, which was initiated following intelligence reports about militants in the area.

On Thursday, the operation escalated as heavy gunfire and shelling erupted in Rajouri's Dorimal forest. Security forces tightened their cordon in a bid to neutralize the suspected militants hiding in the dense terrain. To ensure an 'impenetrable cordon,' additional security personnel and logistic support have been deployed to the operation site.

Authorities reported the operation is being conducted on a large scale with a strong emphasis on neutralizing the militants. Surveillance remains heightened across the area, as security forces continue searching and combing through the forest. The mission reflects a significant counter-terrorism effort in the region.
