NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Inquiry: Key Arrests and Parliamentary Meeting Updates

Amid the intensifying investigation into the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, high-ranking officials, including CBI Director Praveen Sood and NTA Director General Abhishek Singh, participated in a critical Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting on Friday. The session aimed to provide an update on the investigation and featured discussions on the CBSE Class 12 reevaluation issue.

Convened by MP M Thambidurai, the meeting included inputs from various government departments, underscoring the seriousness of the allegations that have overshadowed the national examination process. In attendance were key figures like the Secretary of Higher Education and the Chairman of the National Medical Commission.

The case, which has been developing since its registration in May, has seen significant progress with 13 arrests to date, including a doctor from Latur and a Pune-based coaching faculty member. The duo was linked to the acquisition of leaked Chemistry and Physics questions, marking a pivotal step in unearthing the network behind the scandal.
