Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav reiterated India's commitment to combating global climate change, emphasizing that the nation will be part of the solution. Highlighting initiatives such as Mission LiFE and 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,' Yadav noted their role in addressing challenges like heatwaves.
In an exclusive interview with ANI, Yadav attributed Delhi's current heatwaves to a century of global anthropogenic activity. He stressed that India achieved its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) targets nine years ahead of schedule, indicating proactive environmental engagement.
Addressing air pollution in Delhi, Yadav outlined efforts to launch a 'Green Delhi' campaign and conduct deep dust-cleaning drives. He identified dust as a primary pollution source, proposing a bush-planting initiative in open areas to enhance greenery post-rains.
