In a landmark move to strengthen international travel connectivity, Air India and Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Air have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic alliance. This partnership seeks to provide guests with smoother travel experiences between India, Saudi Arabia, and various global destinations.
The MoU reflects the shared vision of these full-service premium airlines to leverage their respective hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, and Riyadh, unlocking opportunities in the ever-growing aviation markets of India and Saudi Arabia. Regulators permitting, the agreement is set to introduce interline and codeshare arrangements, facilitating seamless travel across both networks with ease of a single booking, offering travel comfort and efficiency.
Additionally, the two airlines will explore cooperative ventures in loyalty programs, cargo services, and digital initiatives to further elevate the passenger experience. With India's privatization of Air India in 2022 paving the way, the airline has rapidly expanded its alliance network. Meanwhile, Riyadh Air's inaugural flights to London on July 1 further cement its commitment to integrating with global travel networks.
