In a rapid advancement, Delhi Police detained two suspects on Saturday linked to a deadly stabbing incident in Shalimar Bagh. The probe began as soon as the severely injured victim was admitted to Fortis Hospital, after an altercation near BC Block, leading to an FIR filing.
The police's swift actions leveraged technical surveillance, along with CCTV footage, and discreet information, resulting in the arrest of suspects Saurabh, alias Tola, and Sachin, alias Chiddi, as they attempted to escape. The alleged murder weapon and clothes used in the crime were seized, confirming their prior criminal backgrounds.
Simultaneously, a separate case unfolded in Vasundhara Enclave, with Delhi University professor Devosmita Paul found dead under suspicious circumstances. The police are now reviewing CCTV footage and gathering visitor information to unravel the mystery surrounding her untimely demise.
