In the Rajouri forest division of Jammu and Kashmir, a significant forest fire has ignited at various sites, necessitating a comprehensive response from the forest department, Forest Protection Force (FPF), and the local populace. The fire has affected regions including Khadian, Androla, Chakkli, Miahadi, and the Bathuni block, as confirmed by officials.

According to Rajesh Kumar, an official from the Forest Department, personnel have been strategically deployed across these impacted regions despite considerable logistical obstacles. "The entire staff is actively engaged in the Chakkli, Khadian, and Androla areas," Kumar said. "The remoteness of this location presents a challenge for our fire vehicles, but we hope to extinguish the blaze by evening."

The rugged terrain and inaccessibility of the affected forest zones have significantly hindered firefighting operations, necessitating a reliance on manual methods to manage the flames. Residents have also been crucial in these efforts, working alongside forest workers to avert the fire's spread to nearby locales. As of now, no casualties have been reported. While the precise cause of the fire remains unknown, forest officials are vigilantly monitoring the evolving situation to prevent further damage.
