Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading a transformative journey in India's agricultural sector. According to Dhami's statement from the Chief Minister's Office, landmark initiatives over the past 12 years have significantly empowered farmers and bolstered rural economies.
Programs such as the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, Crop Insurance Scheme, and Kisan Credit Card have been instrumental in increasing farmers' incomes and making agriculture more sustainable. Dhami emphasized the state’s continuous efforts under Modi’s leadership, citing the 'House of Himalayas' initiative to connect mountain products with global markets.
The Uttarakhand government is also focused on promoting horticulture, natural farming, and agricultural mechanisation, particularly benefiting farmers in remote and border areas. Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi spotlighted the benefits of farmer-centric schemes as part of the 12-year celebration of Kisan Samriddhi Yojana, underscoring efforts to enhance farmer livelihoods.
