Residents recounted their frantic efforts to rescue neighbors amidst chaos and explosions from seven motorcycles and a scooter on the ground floor. Despite their collective efforts, including dousing the flames with water, one resident on the fourth floor succumbed to injuries. The blaze was reported to the fire department at around 2:10 AM.
Emergency services, including the Delhi Fire Service and Centralised Accident and Trauma Services, responded to the crisis. Firefighters launched a rescue operation to evacuate trapped occupants, and the fire was contained by 3:45 AM. While the fire was eventually put out, the incident highlighted the community’s rapid response and collaboration in the face of a tragic disaster.
