Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy commenced his pilgrimage to the Sabarimala temple, departing with a 30-member entourage from the Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple in Kochi, where he performed the Ayyappa Mala ritual.

The group includes notable figures such as JDS Legislature Party leader Suresh Babu, former ministers C.S. Puttaraju and S.R. Mahesh, MLC Bhojegowda, MLA Sharanagouda Kandakur, and former MLAs Magadi Manjunath and H.M. Ramesh Gowda. This spiritual journey follows the completion of rituals necessary to embark on the sacred trek.

In related news, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid homage at the Ayyappa Temple, inaugurating the SABAREESAM Complex in New Delhi, aimed at cultural and welfare activities. The Sabarimala temple, open only during specific religious periods, is a symbol of spiritual unity and religious harmony.

The rigorous journey to Sabarimala involves a 41-day period of celibacy, with pilgrims traversing traditional paths, demonstrating devotion and endurance.
