In a fierce political exchange, Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao has taken aim at former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, criticizing him for his remarks against Congress's Rahul Gandhi. This criticism comes in the wake of growing tensions within the opposition regarding the future trajectory and unity of the INDIA bloc, formed to counter BJP, RSS, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's influence.
Speaking to ANI, Rao emphasized Rahul Gandhi’s call for uniting secular forces against the divisive ideology of BJP and RSS. He alleged that Vijayan’s accusations against Gandhi are rooted in his loss of power in Kerala. As the political discourse heats up, Rao's strong objections to Vijayan's statements underline the challenges faced by the opposition in maintaining a united front.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Shaik Baji has also critiqued Vijayan, suggesting that Gandhi’s stance inadvertently benefits BJP. Baji scrutinized the Communist Party’s historical alliances, accusing them of benefiting Congress at critical junctures. Referring to the political isolation faced by Communist parties, he highlighted their current confusion over political messaging and alliances, reflecting on shared histories of cooperation and conflict between Congress and Communist factions.
