On Saturday, former Prime Minister Viktor Orban was re-elected as the leader of Hungary's main opposition party, Fidesz, during its annual congress.

Despite losing power in an April 12 election to the center-right Tisza party, Orban reaffirmed his intent to revitalize Fidesz amid diminished public support and calls for his political retirement.

The election results, which gave Tisza a two-thirds parliamentary majority, prompted Orban to commit to reforms, positioning Fidesz as a potent opposition force capable of reclaiming governance.
